What does it mean to operate the voice layer with AudioCodes?

It means Lynxsource designs, secures, and operates your voice edge for you — the SBC, the gateways, and the routing — through which your calls cross between your telephony, your carriers, and your collaboration platforms.

Between the application where your people talk and the country’s telephone network there is an intermediate layer. That is where protocols get translated, where each call’s path is decided, where the connection to the carrier is protected, and where whatever tries to come in through it is held back. When it works, nobody knows it exists.

When it does not, the symptom never tells you where the problem is: calls that will not come in, one-way audio, drops after thirty seconds, a carrier bill that climbs with no explanation. A managed service takes on that layer — sizing it, securing it, and keeping it tuned — so those symptoms do not appear.

Because this layer gets configured once and then forgotten, and it is precisely the one that ages worst: traffic grows, carriers change their requirements, and the edge is left exposed without anyone noticing.

A voice edge installed and left alone gives the impression of being fine as long as calls come in. But the sizing that suited the headcount of three years ago falls short at the seasonal peak; the carrier certificate expires on a Saturday; and the SBC, which is a device exposed to the internet, accumulates configuration nobody remembers the reason for.

We measure real traffic — not estimated — calculate capacity with headroom for the peak, and review it when the company grows, opens a site, or launches a campaign that multiplies the calls.

Security and maintenance sit on top of that. The SBC protects the point where your network touches the carrier’s and is kept with its configuration documented and current. Routing is adjusted when a provider changes, a number is added, or a new platform is connected. And when something fails our own team answers, not a generic queue.

Which countries does Lynxsource operate in?

With in-house teams in Ecuador, Colombia, and Bolivia, and also in the United States and Canada.

In-house means the analysts, the automation, and the operations center belong to Lynxsource. In a reseller model your provider opens a ticket with another provider and passes the answer along when it arrives; here whoever answers is whoever decides.

The service is the same in all five countries, with the same SOC behind it and the same triage and response figures. What changes is who you have nearby, not the quality of the monitoring.
